Born in 1963, in Sherbrooke, Canada, Robert Charron has been painting since 1985. After his B.A. in Arts at Laval university in 1988, he travelled to europe and stayed in many studios in France, Czech republic and Italy.
Over his career, he has used various techniques, formats and mediums. His concerns in painting have always been about color, movement and expression.
His several sojourns in europe have made him aware of the old masters’s techniques and how they can be used in a modern and contemporary manner. Since spring 2006 he runs an outdoor galery located in the famous rue du trésor, an artist alley for 30 years, in québec city where his works can be seen all year round.
bringing freshness and novelty with his watercolors and oils, he started building up a strong interest for his work through the flow of visitors from all countries that stroll down this very touristic alley.
Many of his paintings are in private collections mostly in europe, but also in the USA and Canada. Robert Charron lives and works in Québec city. |
